Took me away
took me a while
took me forever
to give a smile

The smile so uncertain
Lopsided upside down
With trepidation I wait
For fate to strike again

The lines that touched
Touch me no more
I trace the language
Those actions’ spoke

The die hard romantic
In the ever so raw me
Down the alley,
Under the attic
At every turn looks
For that one sign
That can turn the book
Make it forever mine

And as it becomes
Of me
I will not let it go
This time
Don’t know what
Will I do different?
I seriously in all honestly
Just don’t know
The only thing separate
